...so what about God?

If you are a person who thinks that God, that is the God of the Bible, is only accessable at the local Sunday morning First Church of Whatever then you are in for a wonderful suprise. He, God, is a person with a real personality and the capability to communicate with you, an individual human, in real time and in the lanquage and/or vernacular that you can understand. You are welcome to add to this discussion!

If you are a person who has experienced God's nearness, His love, and His voice, you are welcome here as well.

Finally, if you are a person who thinks this whole subject is a bunch of mystical foolishness well...you are welcome too. You may teach some of us how to defend our position. In any case, enjoy!

Self Improvement Books...and God.

I own a stack of self-improvement books by many titles. Some are on financial literacy and management, others are on "focus, motivation, successful thinking" etc. There are many exciting principles and proverbs in these books and all of them suggest a wonderfully successful outcome if you follow the guidelines. I even have some of these kinds of books that are written by Christian authors. But, they all leave out one extremely important question; what about God?

What will it be? Self-improvement or God-improvement? The answer to that question depends on who you trust to direct your life and where you get your information. One example of self-improvement vs. God-improvement is given in Romans chapter 7 (the Bible). But this is a huge discussion and potentially very confusing. Just consider this question if you will...who is most qualified to bring real positive change to your life...you or God? Proverbs 20:24
