O.K., so you've noticed the long line of responses to my comments on God. Overwhelming isn't it? But...not suprising. Our personal relationship with the God of the Bible, assuming we believe such a thing exists, is one of the least discussed concepts among those who claim to know God. However, the personal relationship between the individual man/woman and God is the most important part of the human and God equation.
So why don't we talk about specifics? When someone says to you, "God led me to do or say this or that", perhaps you should ask them to describe that experience to you. When someone says, "I was called to preach or to teach, maybe we ought to ask them to tell us what that experience was like. In short, those experiences of being led or being called are actual events that occur between individual humans and God himself. If the experience is genuine then it is much, much more than some warm, fuzzy mystical event that is soon to be forgotten. So...what say you?
